1969 Dodge Charger Additional Info:
The new parts are as follows: brand new American Racing Vector Wheels, brand new tires, new trunk floor, new gas tank, arebuilt trans, anew rear end with 3.55 gears, new floor pans, new front seat covers, new carpet, new door panels, new headliner, new chrome around windshield and rear window, new radiator, brand new Holley carb, new exhaust tips andnew bumpers. Over $55,000 invested.
The other new or replaced parts include rust free front fenders andnew rear quarters.
The car runs and drives well and shifts smoothly. The updated gearing gives the car a nice power band. The only thing that was still on the wishlist for this build that was not completed was a brake booster system toincrease the stopping power.
We decoded the fender tag and this is an original A/C car (all there but not working and we have not checked out any of the heat and A/C systems); with factory cruise control (may need new cables) and was also a White Hat Special. It has itsnumbers matching 383 HP engine. The vacuum headlight covers work! It has86,000 original miles according to previous owner. The original color was Bronze Metallic.
Good things to know before you bid:
The paint and bodywork are very nice and were all done years ago and then the car went into storage. It was brought out last Fall and the remainder of themechanical work was finished up this Spring. Due to being in storage there is a dent below the gas cap (shown in pictures). It may be an easy fix but we have not yet attempted to rectify. Most of the paint work is very nice and is much better than “driver quality” but is several years old now.The radio does not work and there areintermittent issueswith thegauges. Most of the time thegauges and headlights all work fine. The frame has had a Safe-T-Cap added in the front side portions for extra strength and rigidity. The gas cap is from a ’68, the chrome trim around right tail light is missing (will try to replace), and theA/C not working. The cruise control may be functional but was bypassed to run the speedo cable directly from the transmission to the speedometer. The roll up windows work very well with the left rear needing an a minor adjustment. No warranties of any kind are expressed or implied. In-person inspections are welcomed. We can help with facilitating the arrangement of the shipping of the vehicle but the actualshippingcosts are the responsibility of the buyer.International buyers are welcomed.
Clean and clear MI title.
