1974 Dodge Charger Additional Info:

Selling my 74 Dodge Charger Spring Special. I’ve had it for 7 years and have put less than 1000 miles on it. Hoping someone else can see the potential in it that I have. Between work and family I just have no time to drive it or work on it anymore. I’ve got close to $13,000 into it, but it has to go.
The Good: The car had been registered and insured and driven once in a while since I got it. It is inspected until the end of this month. The car has the original factory air conditioning still intact. Just isn’t charged because it’s R12.
The original interior was gold and beige plaid and it was trashed when I got it, I replaced it with all a black interior. New carpet, new headliner, new front and back seats, new door panels. Original side panels in back were cleaned and sprayed with black interior paint. Needs headliner pulled and glued on sides and a little TLC to make it Perfect.
The engine is the original 318 block and it has been totally rebuilt with all new parts. Everything was replaced but the block, new heads (proper for the engine) new crank, new rods, new pistons (.040 over), new cam, lifters and push rods (nice big lopey cam) ignition is upgraded to electronic, aluminum aftermarket spreadbore intake with rebuilt Thermoquad 4bbl. Headers. Dual exhaust, etc
I installed a B&M floor shifter and replaced the steering column with a manual column so it’s done right. I changed the original gauge cluster over to the Rallye gaugues, because they always look better. I still have the originals and they will go with it. I fabricated a center console that has a Pioneer stereo in it and cup holders, and where the original radio was located I made a bracket and mounted a big Tachometer. Nothing on the dash has been chopped up and I do have the original radio that came with the car that you can have with it.
The Body on the car is in very good shape. Front fenders are solid, doors look good, quarters fairly straight. I installed a fiberglass hood with the “Power Bulge” it has 340 Magnum emblems on it and looks great. Minimal body work needed before it’s ready for paint. If you aren’t a perfectionist, block it out and spray it. Currently it is coated in Eastwood black epoxy primer. The rear has been changed to 3:50 gears and is a posi. Did have 4:11s in it, but just wasn’t practical for the street.
The bad: Gas gauge stopped working last year. Not sure if it’s the sender or the gauge. The leaf spring on the left rear is cracked, but I have a new one and replacement bushings that come with the car.
The pinion bearing is growling and probably should be replaced.
Everything else works as it should. Windows go up and down. Doors open and close, turn the key and it starts. Put it in drive and go.
I’m probably forgetting things, so ask questions if you have any.Being the car is 44 years old, it is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. I am not responsible for shipping costs or title transfer fees.
Please do not bid if you do not intend to pay.
You are encouraged to come inspect the car.Thank you and good luck bidding.
