1972 Charger SE Brougham
You are viewing a nice Charger that has been partially restored and updated. Owned since 73 when the car was not even a year old. The car has 134K miles with only 5K miles or so since 91. Most all the work done on the car was done in 91. The car retains its original broadcast sheet along with a full file of receipts of all that has been done to the car. Always garaged and never has been driven in the winter.
Please read on for more particulars of the car:
Body/Paint: Body and paint was done in 91 and looks like it was done just a few years ago. Taken down to bare metal it was lightly repaired in a few small areas, primered and blocked many times. Base/clear with original color code. The body and paint is really nice and very straight. Great color on this car. A new vinyl top was installed 3 years ago. The original was white. Hideaway headlights.
Interior: The interior is original to the car except the carpet and headliner was replaced. Split bench cloth inserts. New seat covers have not been installed due to not being available aftermarket. PS, PB, AC, 150 mph speedo, gauge package and rear window defogger. The AC does not work at this time with the condenser not installed. The old one is shot so it will have to be replaced.
Running Gear: Original 400 has been replaced with a 70 correct 440 totally rebuilt with 906 heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake and Edelbrock carb. Ad on factory electronic ignition module and distributor. Mopar Performance hemi grind crank. The trans is the original 727 rebuilt with shift kit. The 8 ¼ rear end was replaced with a HD 8 ¾ 323 gear, open rebuilt. The whole drive train was rebuilt and installed in 91 with 5K miles.
Suspension: The entire front suspension was rebuilt in 91 using TRW parts. It is very tight. HD torsion bars were used. The rear springs were restored and re arched to stock specs. KYB shocks. The entire suspension is very tight and rides well.
Bright work: All original to the car except the original rear bumper was rechromed. Original pieces are presentable, but show some signs of slight ware.
Glass: All glass is original in good condition, but the windshield has been replaced.
Exhaust: Installed when the engine was done and in good operational condition with stock style mufflers. Sounds like a Mopar should. Nice.
Brakes: Disc front and drum rear and restored back in 91.
Wheels/Tires: Stock Ralley wheels with Goodyear Eagles.
