1970 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Automatic, numbers match
Offered for sale is a beautiful 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. This is a 440 4-barrel, Automatic car painted in its original B5 Blue color. This is a numbers matching car with its original engine and transmission. This is an export-labeled car, with a "made in the USA" tag on the hood latch support. It was probably ordered by a US serviceman while on duty overseas, but never actually left the USA.
The car was restored and engine rebuilt sometime in the mid 90's before I bought it. I've owned this car for over 21 years and have decided it's time for it to go to a new home. I classify this car as an older restoration of excellent driver quality. This has been a great car, both to drive and show.

More details:
ENGINE -
Original numbers matching 440. Runs strong, with its original configuration. I installed a mopar electronic ignition system (original distributor is included). It also has chrome valve covers that appear to be vintage mopar direct-connection pieces, (came that way when I bought it). I installed a new oil pan. A street demon carburetor is currently installed, but the original carburetor is in very good condition and is included. The car has a 26-inch aftermarket radiator, the original 22-inch radiator is included and is also in excellent condition. The car has a TTi exhaust system with correct manifolds and dynomax turbo mufflers, stainless tips.
BODY -
Body was restored well over 20 years ago, but still looks great. I can tell the passenger rear quarter was replaced along with the passenger door. The other rear quarter is the original, with some repairs in front of the wheel opening. I had the trunk floor replaced as there were some pin-holes in the center portion. The gas tank and sender were replaced. The car still has its original floors, rockers, and frame rails - they are solid. The paint does show some age and flaws but is very presentable. Door glass and rear window are very good but do show a few minor scratches. The windshield was replaced and is excellent. Chrome and stainless trim is very good with a few minor scratches. The car is a stripe delete, but I added a bumblebee stripe, it is the period correct vinyl type and can be easily removed.
SUSPENSION & DRIVETRAIN -
I rebuilt both front and rear suspension with all new bushings and ball joints. I installed front disc brakes and spindles from a 73 E-body. The original spindles, front drum brakes, and master cylinder can included at no charge. The rear still has drum brakes, and I installed an adjustable proportioning valve. New rear leaf springs were installed. The 8 3/4 rear was re-built with new seals and bearings. The original 3:23 one-legger center-section was replaced with 3:55 sure grip unit. The original center-section can be included (also no charge). The original 727 automatic shifts firm and down-shifts correctly, and it has an extra deep TCI pan.
INTERIOR -
The seat upholstery was replaced before I had the car, still looks great, no tears or noticeable wear. The carpet was also replaced. I restored the instrument gauge faces and installed a new chrome bezel. The simulated wood grain panels were faded, so I had a vinyl overlay installed. I also installed new door panels and new door emblems. Headliner is in great shape. I installed a headlight relay circuit so the lights are bright like a modern car.
The build sheet was missing when I received the car. Here are the fender codes:

Forgot to mention - I added hood turn signal indicators, they were an option. I still have the blanking plates if someone wants to remove them and make it factory correct.
