1966 Dodge Power Wagon Camper Special Additional Info:
1966 Dodge Power Wagon 3/4 Ton 4 wheel drive . Original never repainted truck!!! Clear Oregon title in my name. Lots of extra parts.I have owned this truck for 13 years but have never had the time to get it done so it is time to let er go. These trucks have gone through the roof in value in the past 7-8 years. The 1966 crew cab models sell for as high as $300,000. Now that's just crazy but who am I to argue with the market!!! The W200 single cabs like mine have sold for $25K-$75K from what I have seen and heard. When I purchased this truck it had a big hole in the block so I waited until the right deal came along to buy the same original type motor as it came with. I met the fire chief of the Helena, California Fire Dept at a swap meet and we got to swapping the bull and we both had something the other wanted. He had the 318 poly motor that the fire dept paid $3500 to have completely gone through with only the best of everything installed. They were going to install it in a 2 ton dodge firetruck but their funding dried up and so the motor became available for sale. I drive truck in all 48 states and had no spare time so I hired our local hot rod shop to get the truck together. They started on the brakes and replaced everything brand new including new HD clutch assembly, top of the line brake shoes, new master cylinder, new wheel cylinders, new complete spring kits, new seals and all new flex rubber hoses were also installed. The drums had plenty of meat left so they were only turned. Next they found a stock manifold and installed that. Then they put in a new alternator, new fuel pump, new starter, new water pump, new regulator, ballast resistor and new header gaskets. Comes with original engine fan. The carb was overhauled by them and the clutch slave cylinder and new clutch master cylinder was also installed. At that point an argument between the shop owners caused them to separate and close the shop. I paid my bill and got it out of there and it has been sitting ever since. I did start the truck up which fired on what sounded like only 1 revolution and she was running. Having not installed a radiator at that time I shut it down within 2 to 3 seconds. It sounded really strong and that is where it is today. I don't really want to sell it but if I get what I am asking for it, I will let it go. These 66 models are the most desirable and with the turquoise color it is the most desirable one to find. There are 3 small dime to quarter size rust holes in the floor and that's it. Any other rust you see is strictly light surface rust. I was going to repaint it but decided I kinda liked the patina look and probably never will repaint it. Under the truck you will find some of the original factory rubber undercoatingstarting to come off and you can see the original color under it. It comes with the very rare piece of stainless that is the bezel behind all the pull lever handles on lower part of dashboard. Super hard to locate....also comes with original ignition key and dodge die cast truck hanging from key chain. Extra instrument chrome trim. Extra parts include 2 sets of stainless rain gutter moldings with all the stainless center clips, pair of white center color bed moldings, pair of arm rests, original set of metal door panels, pair of brand new junior western stainless exterior mirrors, one still in original box...Two different types of power steering pumps for 1961-1971 dodge pickups, 3 interior mirrors including a very rare self dimming model, complete set of used brackets to install AC for the 318 Poly motors, a spare cab heater, used alternator, a really nice rare white deluxe steering wheel with the original stainless horn ring, an extra steering column a bunch of pulleys and a few other parts I can't remember. Also comes with 3 of the little triangle looking Chrysler emblems that fasten to roof area. Don't know correct name for them and you only use one per truck. . Original owners manual and some other brochures. Things the truck needs to get it on the road are as follows: a new battery, clean out gas tank, (very good shape but dirty), new line from clutch master cylinder to slave cylinder and then bleed the slave cylinder, radiator, brakes adjusted and bled, needs muffler and tail pipe but has the original crossover style header pipe, 2 matching new tires ($450 for both in Los Angeles) put on the rear. The front ones are brand new with zero miles on them; size is 900x16 military but the 2 tires on the rear are strictly rotten that hold air to roll truck around, wheel balance, install the (new in box), junior western stainless truck mirrors. The only body damage is at the 2 back corners that is shown in the photos.. The truck was bought brand new by a rancher in Redding California. When he passed away his wife had the truck towed to a wrecking yard in Red Bluff California and that guy posted it for her on Ebay which is where I bought it so many years ago. I consider myself the second owner of the truck since 1966. My price is firm at the opening bid. I am hoping to get a little more but if all I get is the opening bid price I will be happy to let her go.. Thank You ...Call me if I have missed anything you want to know. Robert 909 435 7609
