1971 Dodge Challenger Additional Info:
Up for grabs is a rust free 1971 Dodge Challenger Convertible. This car was last registered in 2007 when it was taken apart for a restoration which never happened. There are some items that are missing like the grill and door handles but every large costly part you need to complete is there and the small stuff is easily obtained online. The owner had a NOM 360 motor rebuilt with the matching 727 trans in 2007. The engine was reinstalled back in the car after having all rubber components in the undercarriage replaced and the entire front end rebuilt to stock specifications including new brakes and master cylinder. The motor was never fired up and was sitting in inside storage until the guy I bought it from purchased the car. I have NOT tried to turn the motor over and its pretty easy to see looking at the valve train that it was gone through but never started as is spotless. The 727 Torqueflight transmission is sitting in the inside of the car and is not installed as well. The guy I bought it from sent it off to the body shop. There it received a new drivers side floor pan and was prepped to be painted Hemi Orange. The car was put on a frame machine, all door, hood, fender and trunk gaps were set and it was primed and jambs painted Hemi Orange. You can see from the picture that everything lines up as it should. The undercarriage although not finished needs cosmetics only. It has a new gas tank and has been cleaned accordingly. There is NO undercoating on this vehicle. Here's what I have for the car: Engine with serpentine belt drive, Transmission, complete convertible top frame, cylinders etc. Both bumpers, Front and rear seats in great shape, door panels, center console, new in the box radiator, all heater components and a bunch of other parts as well. Obviously, this is a project and it would make a great Hemi Clone or rebuild whats there and have a nice stock looking Challenger! This is a NO Reserve auction so the guy at the end of the bidding wins! My opening bid is more than fair and as 99% of the bodywork is done and ready for paint it's an easy rebuild! This Rust free example is ready for your finishing touches. Note: This vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. FYI, It was originally a 318 Base Convertible. Yeah, I know the pictures are crappy and it is as I bought it with zero cleaning. 99% there - just the small stuff (which I would have replaced anyway) needs to be purchased. Any questions I can be reached at (203) 223-3297
