1988 Dodge Dakota Additional Info:
I am moving in 10 days and have priced this truck to sell immediately! This was a project of mine I bought from my grandfather 7 years ago, I put a few miles on it for coffee every day. It has 87,000 original miles and I have the clean title to prove it (ask me about odometer scratch). This is a 3.9L V6 truck with an A999 automatic transmission, I have done many tuneups that were not needed and I run full synthetic oil. I have removed all the emission systems for a total of 25lbs of weight reduction so that means there is no catalytic converter on this truck and it only need to pass safety emissions because of its age so they do not do a tail pipe sniff test so therefor I am using a cherry bomb glass pack as my resonator feeding into a dual out chambered muffler, I have replaced the pipe with 0.25" oversized from the Y-pipe down. I have an Optima deep cycle battery that was $250 in well maintained condition, and I installed a huge 160-amp alternator which is the largest alternator Chrysler made. I replaced the original oil filled ignition coil with a solid state MSD Blaster and added a custom cooling fan to the computer system enclosure. I have done tons of small modifications to this truck over the last 7 years. The tires are BF Goodrich and I bought them about 4 years ago for $900! The interior was in the process of a transformation, I installed two seats out of a BMW 740i they are in great condition...leather, power everything, heated, but I never wired them up however I did test them on their harness and they do work...custom seat brackets needed to be welded. I removed my massive stereo system but there is a moderate aftermarket system installed with remote. Comes with a spare wheel and tons of small spare parts, oils, detailing and cleaning supplies...like I said I am moving I can not bring this with me I need to get rid of it ASAP! Okay so here is the bad part, it is rusting out badly including the front cab mounts I had to reinforce them using the floor pan and frame rails but I still drive it every day around town. I think the windshield wipers need to be looked at, and a piece of a key is broken off in one of the doors but still locks if needed. The engine sometimes tics on cold days until it warms up but not always, I never drive it until it warms up.
