This 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T is a factory triple red, V-code, 4 speed with the Super Track Pak rear end. The car was originally built on October 13, 1969 and has just over 70,000 original miles. The car comes with the original build sheet and drives out like a beast!
Always a good condition, running/driving car, the Challenger recently received a complete bare metal re-finish. The Challenger has all new slick body work, and excellent body gaps between the doors and the fenders, and doors and the quarter panels. The car has restored trim, and high condition original glass. The paint job features the correct Medium Red paint on top and bottom, and the factory correct, white "Bumble Bee" stripe. The R/T has the correct factory V21 Performance Hood Treatment (also known as stripes). The clear coat has been wet sanded to a mirror smooth finish and buffed to a high show quality shine. Another factory option was the J45 Hood pins.
The Challenger came from the factory with the 440 6-Pack engine, 4-speed transmission and Dana 60 Super Track Pack rear end! Even up against many modern cars, this Challenger is still quick and it's hard to beat that torque curve. The motor is not the motor the car was born with and was rebuilt to stock specifications. It starts after a pump of the gas and immediately falls into a smooth idle. It runs strong and smooth, and although MPG is not this car's strong point, it sure is fun along the way! The 4-speed transmission lays down quick shifts off the line, and the Dana 60 with 4.10 rear gears is as mean as it gets. The car has a rebuilt suspension and factory B51 powers brakes that really work well. A non-factory addition to the car was a power steering system that was performed with correct parts and works wonderfully.
The interior is all new from Legendary and the Rallye gauge cluster has been completely rebuilt. The Challenger has the factory C16 console with the woodgrain applique, factory C55 buckets and R11 AM radio. All of the carpeting is new as well and as are the floor mats.
