No reserve after opening bid of $3,500…the price of a low mileage Cummins 12V engine.
I’m the original owner of this truck though Carfax says 2 owners. I bought it for my business in March of 1994 and it was my daily driver for 4 years till it got 100,000 miles on it then I registered it in my name for my farm use. Soon after an employee left it in out of gear and it rolled into a tree. It smashed out the grille, hood, bumper and all the coolers. It sat in my yard for 4 years while I collected parts to put it together again which was done in 2012. Since then it has been driven about 5k miles a year here on the farm. I always had plans of restoring it but I now see that is not going to happen.
The good…
The engine runs strong, always starts no matter how cold it is.
The tranny shifts smooth.
There is no rust, just plenty of dust. It has always been a southern New Mexico truck.
The cab and frame are solid.
The bed is ugly but well built.
The bad…
Windshield is a mess.
Paint is terrible
A/C, radio and fuel gauge do not work.
4X4 makes a bad noise in the driveline…believe it’s U joints.
Headliner sags
Tires are not road worthy.
Rear window was broken caused by a load of feed on the bed smashing into it when it hit the tree. I had no rubber seal so just siliconed a new window in with straps. Ugly but does not leak.
It has not been registered or driven on paved road for 4 years so I would recommend trailering home.
