1978 Dodge m884 D/W Series

1977 Dodge Other Additional Info:

78 Dodge M884 pickup body is D/W Series is in very nice shape all rust issues are pictured, the one pictured with my finger is on both sides and does not appear to go through or be serious. The other rust issue is the passenger side engine compartment wheel well, also does not appear to be serious, all other knownrust is surface only. I purchased this truck from Maryland forestry, they received It from a state fire dept. who received it from the national guard reserve, hence the low miles. I bought it to use on my farm, but have since bought a diesel truck with a gooseneck.

The Truck: (all information below was listed as how it was shipped originally I have not verified, however, it appears to be as originally manufactured)

318 v-8 which runs very nice once warmed up, but could use a tune up.

Torqueflite727 transmission with 4x4 2-speed NP203 transfer case

Dana 44 4.10:1 front axle and floating Dana 60 4:10.1 rear axle

since I have owned it I installed a new carburetor, water pump, starter relay? and another control module. All parts were inexpensive and easily purchased at the local part store although I used napa.

Everything on the truck seems to be in good working order with a solid frame and extremely beefy tow hitch and heavy duty suspension. There is no tail gate I didn't receive it when purchased and the tailpipe past the muffler has some leaks. It is an older truck that is in nice shape with low miles for it's age, but has it's own character of dings and things added and taken away. All in all a good truck.
