1956 Dodge Coronet Sedan Additional Info:
I have a 1956 Dodge Coronet 2 door sedan for sale. It has the 230 ci. 6 cylinder with a 3 speed manual transmission. The car is registered Non-Op with a clean California title. It comes with all the original paperwork from the dealer, Car Life Guarantee, owners certificate, sales receipt, and personalized letter from the dealer, Columbus Motors in San Francisco. Odometer reads 32,657 whichis the original mileage, not turned over.
This car will need to be towed. The car was last operational in the early 70's. It will need to be gone thru, brakes and everything. I have some rollers on the car now (as seen in the pictures) and I will be putting some tires on the original 15" x 4.5" factory steel wheels. The original hubcaps included too.The car is very straight and has all the chrome trim intact. The 2 side window trimpieces were removed so you can see the rust behind them. There is a Y shaped crack on the drivers side window. Doors open and close properly, no door sag, nice tight click when closed. Door jambs are solid. Factory floor jack in still in place.
Rust: Driver floor is rusted through and the passenger front is rusted through at side near the door sill. The rear passenger floors and trunk are solid, no rust through. Surface rust on hood and other small areas on the car. Rockers are solid. Driver front floor is rusted out. There is rust behind the trim on the side corner windows. A lot of the factory rubberized coating was applied on the floors and trunk area and underneath the car.
Some of you may know that the California Highway Patrol used the 1956 Dodge Coronet, but those had the V8. This would be a great starting point if you wanted to go that route.
