1940 Dodge Other Pickups Additional Info:

Dodge Chopped Hemi Powered Rat Rod Pickup Project. This is a Project and not a Running Driving Vehicle. it will need to be Trailered home. This Truck is a Chopped 1940's era Pickup Cab and Bed on a Custom Frame with a 9" Ford Differential and a 1955 Chrysler 331 Hemi Engine. The Cab is an early 1940's piece that has been Chopped several inches. The Chop Job was done very well, but in true Rat Rod Fashion, it isn't ground smooth or painted pretty! The Dash Board from the '55 Chrysler was cut down to fit in the '40 Cab. It looks great and I have the Gauges that go in the Dash. The Bed is a Chopped unit from a 40's or 50's pickup. The Bed Floor is a series of Street Signs and an Aluminum Fuel Tank. The Tank and Signs are not Fastened in place. You will need to run a Fuel Line to the Engine. The Grill is off some other Vintage Dodge and the Headlights are off yet another '60s era Dodge. There are parts from Dodges from five or six decades on this rod along with both vintage Ford and vintage Chevy parts. It is actually titled as a 1954 Chevrolet truck. The Title is clean and clear. The Frame is a Fully Boxed Ford Model A unit with a Suicide Front Axle. It is Double Z'ed with 2x3 Tube in the rear and a 4 Link set up. The Engine is a Chrysler 331 Hemi. It has a crack in the block that was repaired before I got it. The Engine was running, but the Intake Manifold was removed to change from a two barrel to a Four barrel and I haven't had it running since. The Manifold that is on it now needs to have Gaskets installed. The Gaskets come with the Truck. The Transmission is only in for mock up. It isn't a functioning unit, as far as I know. This is a great start to a very cool Rat Rod. Most of the hard work is done. You can build it as is, or you can modify it to your taste. I will try to answer any questions through email. I may be able to assist with delivery, for a fee, within a few hundred miles of Canton, Ohio. This Project is being offered without reserve. It sells to the highest bidder. Please have your finances in order and be ready to pay for this before you start bidding.
