1954 Dodge Power Wagon Additional Info:
I am thinking of selling my M37.
This is a correctly restored 1954 Dodge M37 3/4 ton. You see so many that are "restored" or "correctly restored" and they aren't. The attention to detail is amazing. This truck was ground up restored correctly using all correct parts down to the Dodge Brothers bolts. I did add locking front hubsto help the truck and front end parts last many, many more years. If you don't like them I have the original hubs to go right back on. It also has a correctalternator that was puton inplace of the generator by the Army. The truck has about 4k miles on it since restoration .
The hood was sanded last month and repainted with the original correct registration number and star. That was the only item that wasn't right on the truck as you can see in the pictures.Ifyou look at the last picture you can see the correct registration number and location are in place.
Ive owned the truck for the past 3 years and have taken a lot of time to gothrough and make sure it was done right. I only use it for parade, shows, and going to veterans homes. I don't drive it during bad weather or on wet roads. Everything on it works correctly as it should. It just had an engine oil change along with new spark plugs, fuel filter, coil, air filter oi, coolan, etc. for its yearly PM. I drive it about500 miles a year.
All fluids in the truck are checked and at the correct levels. I use correct AmsOil synthetic in the diffs and transmission and T case. The winch oil is correct Mobile Worm Gear oil along with the steering box. The engine and air filter use Shell Rotella 15W40. I use premium Non Ethanol gas in the truck so it has no problems with the fuel hurting the truck. The stenciled items on the truck are Very high quality. I used special stencils from Military Stencils.com when I painted the markings on and they are very crisp. The truck has a new canvas cab top replaced in the last few months along with some new straps. The cargo cover is in great condition. The bows and seats in it are Ironwood I'm told. I put a coat of raw linseed oil once a year on them. The radio mountedin the back with antennacomes with it along with the fuel can, replica M16 rifle, a couple wooden crates, all the tools on the back, manual, service logs, correct brass fireextinguishe, spare parts, spare tools with roll and tire change kit,and a few other things. If you have any questions on an item you see in a picture please ask about it and make sure it comes with the truck. Don't assume anything.
I have a working tested complete PRC 77 backpack radio set I keep with the truc, if you would like that we can work out a price after the sale.
The truck alsocomes with a rare complete fording kit. Actual complete ki, not just an exhaust pipe.
The truck has a tiny ding or two and a scratch here or there and a few wet seals or a drip over a few months for examplebut has to be one of the nicest in the country. It takes home 1st - 3rd place awards at every show its been to including one of the biggest shows in Colorado. The stories you hear from the veterans at every show or when you go out and drive it are amazing.
PLEASE ask all questions you can think of. I'm happy to show or tell you anything about it. It has been the nicest and most reliable Military Vehicle I have ever owned.
I'm only selling to get a smaller WW2 Jeep to make look like my grandfathers Jeep. If you have a WW2 Jeep that's correct and numbers matching id be interested in a trade. For sale locally also. I'm open to offers.
The M37 is soldAs-Is Where-ISis with No Warranty at all. I have a clear Colorado Title in my name.
Again please ask any questions you can think of so you know what your bidding on and are happy with the truck. I really would like you to look it over in person if possible, I don't want you to think I'm hiding anything or you think that its something and its not.
