Up for sale we have a 1968 Dodge Dart GT. This drop top sports a ton of eye appeal and has had a frame on restoration done. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Dodge, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Dart. The body is laser straight down the sides with great fit of the panels. The body is covered in the Red Paint that is accented in the Black GT Stripe. The paint on this Dart is slick with a deep rich shine. At the time of the resto a new convertible top that's also black was installed along with a new glass rear window. Around the front windshield is a new seal and new weather stripping was also installed around the doors, trunk and top. Also, new bumpers have been installed along with some of the other trim. To finish off the look it's sitting on a set of factory Rally's with Firestone Wide Oval Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of the GT. On the inside, everything is in great condition and done in Black to complement the exterior. It has bucket seats that are covered in the factory style vinyl. The carpet and door panels appear to have been replaced at the time of the resto. This Dart has the Four Speed Hurst Shifter. When you look at the dash it looks at is would have in '68 down to the solid state radio.
Finally, we will look at the driveline of the Dodge. Under the hood everything is detailed nicely. The power comes from a 340 V8 that retains the factory painted valve covers and black breather. This car has manual drum brakes. The exhaust flows thru stock manifolds and dual exhaust. This 340 is mated to the Four Speed Trans and the 8 " Rear End. When you look at the floors they are in great condition and have been cleaned and painted.
