Hi folks,
1992 Dodge Cummins turbo diesel. Very desirable first generation Cummins Dodge. Used for transportation and light towing, no off roading, no rust.
Anyone looking at this listing knows the quality and dependability these first gen Cummins have.
Engine/truck have the following modifications
Killer dowel pin done, 3 piece exhaust manifold, POD injectors, 16cm turbine housing 4" exhaust system newer water pump and drive belt, rebuilt power steering pump ans resealed vacuum pump. A/C converted to R134.
Mag Hytek extra deep transmission pan. Ispro boost, tach and EGT gauges on A pillar pod, trailer brake class three hitch and a spray in bed liner. Chassis set up for a fifth wheel with a plate over the hole in the bed, aftermarket wheels, NOS throttle cable and parking brake cable, new VSS on transfer case.
NO OVERDRIVE WORRIES, I fixed that. The overdrive has been taken out of the PCM and wired to a dimmer switch on the floor giving the driver manual control over when the overdrive is on. There is a indicator light on the gauge pod to indicate when it is off. If the VSS or TPS decide they don't want to work and the speedometer goes out, the overdrive still will work, it is now FAIL-SAFE.
The bad
Cruise control was removed because it quit working, i have the unit. Drivers side power door lock does not work.
Truck delivers 23 plus MPG on the highway and is super dependable and runs cool.
Truck owned and maintained by a first gen Cummins enthusiast. The reason that it's for sale is I got a second gen to replace it.
