1987 Dodge Dakota Additional Info:
I have a 1987 Dodge Dakota Express. It has 138323 original miles. Original paint. Runs and drives good. It has a carburated 3.9 V6 with automatic transmission. Dodge had these converted to the step side beds by Country Sales. 700 total were made in 1987, 400 2 wheel drive models and 300 4 wheel drive models. The bed is fiberglass. They did not put the stacks on this year, although it would probably not take much to put them on to give it that Lil Red Express look. This truck just made a 125 mile trip with no trouble. All the gauges in the dash work. It has an AM/FM Cassette stereo that works when it wants to, probably just a short in the wiring somewhere. It has cruise control, tilt wheel, and air conditioning which does not work. The compressor for the air conditioning kicks in but it does not blow cold. The aluminum treadplate in the bed has been added. There are some stress marks on top of the fenders of the bed. This truck has been kept in a garage for most of its life. The headliner is drooping a little, and there are some cigarette burns in the carpet. The grille has 2 cracks in it. A previous owner looks like they tried to glue them back togher unsuccessfully. There is rust bubbling through on the drivers side fender in front of and behind the front tire. There are some small dings on both doors. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions. Thanks
