1990 Dodge Dakota Convertible Additional Info:
1990 Dodge Dakota Sport 3.9 Convertible202894 milesOnly 1990 version for sale currently on EBAY, there are a few of the 1989.909 made in 19902,842 made in 19898 made in 1991 (so it's been said)The Dakota Convertible was the 1st production convertible truck since the Ford Model T.I'm 35 years old and I have never seen or heard of one of these until I was looking for a truck early this year, and I was like what???? A factory Dakota convertible??? Had to have it.The car has been in Florida and California it's whole life, so no issues with hidden rust like you may find in cars that have been in snow states.Purchased from an older lady that had it in her carport.Fog lamps, padded rollbar, bucket seats, power windows and locks, rear anti-lock brakes, full gauge package, 3.9 V-6, tilt wheel, and cruise control. Air conditioning and an automatic transmission.Previous owner had replaced radiator, added transmission cooler and a catalytic converter. She said she always used full synthetic oil.June and July 2016 I had the following parts replaced since many were the originals. At a cost of $5200.00.New Monroe shocks all around.New Rack and Pinion (1st US truck to offer Rack & Pinion steering)and tie rod ends.New fuel injectors.Replaced worn fuel lines.New fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter and fuel neck assembly.Full synthetic oil change.Transmission service. With Amsoil ATF+4.Differential service.New speed control sensor. MAP sensor. Idle air control motor.Replaced all bulbs that were out.New spark plugs, wires (NOS), distributor (NOS)cap (NOS)and rotor (NOS), pick up coil (NOS),ignition coil, air filter and air filter housing gasket, wiper blades.(NOS - New Old Stock MOPAR parts)Tires are Michelin Defender and still have 80% tread.Brakes are still good, resurfaced front rotors and cleaned and adjusted rear shoes/drums.New valve cover gaskets.New muffler (normal sound)New rear brake light assemblies.New side mirrors and housing.New tailgate cables.Original Pendaliner bed liner in great shape.Have convertible boot that fits over convertible top when down so it looks neat. Also owners manual with Convertible edition pamphlet.Still have 2 keys.Passed smog in June or July 2016. Current California registration. The only things I had left to do was a new top (online prices range from $150-$300)And a paint job. Was also going to redo weather stripping since its original. No Rust. No accidents. My wife has had enough of this one so....It's for sale!!If the car is staying in California then you can also have the Lic plates...TPLSTRK...Have extra Throttle body assembly that I had purchased to have just in case down the line, includes all sensors attached to it and also fuel injectors.Car is sold as is.As you an see there has been a large amount of parts changed out already, no cheap parts put in, spent a large amount of time and money finding the original MOPAR NOS or the next best thing. So if your plan is to restore this to its glory days you have about 80-90 % that is done already.Buyer responsible for shipping. Or pick up.If additional questions or pictures needed please message me.I'm not in a hurry to sell or desperate. I'm just not allowed to spend more money on it so I think it's best to have someone that will appreciate the rarity and have fun with it, instead of sitting inside my garage. Thanks !!
