1963 Dodge Dart GT convertible

The 1963 Dart was only available with the170 and 225 slant sixes. The 7.25 rear end was the lone axle choice. Transmissions were theA-904 Torqueflightand a three-speed manual. The 904 was shifted via push buttons on the dash, the transmission used cables to select the gear.
The top of the line car in this line was the Dodge Dart GT, which was essentially the same as the lower models but with a padded instrument panel, wheel covers, and bucket seats. Dodge made 51,300 1963Dart 170s, 55,300 Dart 270s, and 34,300Dart GTs.
Three trim levels were offered: the low-spec170, the high-spec270, and the premiumGT, which was available only as a 2-door hardtop or convertible.
Initial engine offerings were two sizes of the slant-six: a 170cuin (2.8L), 101hp (75kW) version was fitted as standard equipment, and a 225cuin (3.7L), 145hp (108kW) version was available for less than $50 extra
