I am pleased to offer this custom 1978 Datsun 280Z. VIN # is HLS30457778. Mileage shows 59,XXX but TMU. 

Finished in a very eye catching metal flake green with bolt-on fender flares and Japanese style rear view mirrors on the front fenders. Offers a great Fairlady Z look. Also features Japanese aftermarket alloy wheels and purple engine dress up accents. Engine is the stock inline 6 cylinder Datsun motor with aftermarket exhaust (brand unknown). 

Interior features new seats covers and new door panels. There are some cracks in the dash which is common on these 70’s Z’s but the owner covered the cash with a carpeted dash cover. The interior is a combination of restored and new and original. Steering wheel for example is original and shows some wear from age.

Notable flaws according to the owner:

 – Missing the fuse box cover (passenger footwell)

 – AC needs a recharge

 – Left turn signal does not work (right is fine)

 – There is a ding on the passenger door

 – Emergency brake needs to be tightened

Personal Impressions:

I had the pleasure to photograph, videotape and test drive this 280Z. It was a fun and nostalgic trip down memory lane since I owned a 1970 240Z and a 1978 280Z “back in the day”. This car has a great look and gets lots of attention where ever it goes. It drives like a 70’s Z should (no faster, no slower). If you like to stand out at your local cars and coffee, this would definitely get the job done.
