About this vehicleUp for Sale is my 1978 Datsun 280z Black Pearl Edition. It is a 5 speed AC car. Odometer shows 64k but it could be 164k its hard to tell because the car is so clean. The car fires up and runs and drives very well. The stock exhaust is quiet. All of the lights and signals work as they should and even the dash clock and power antenna function properly. The car has never been wrecked or molested with aftermarket parts. The doors and hatch open and shut well. It was repainted poorly, once in the past, and the paint is now pimpled in places and not sticking to the original coat well. It still shines and looks very presentable from 10ft but up close you can see it failing. The stripe kit is unique with red over the silver as opposed to the normal silver over red. I rescued this car from storage and have replaced the following: injector connectors, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fluids in engine, radiator and gearbox. Brake pads, rotors, wheel seals, repacked bearings. Brake shoes, wheel cylinders and hardware, Brake master cylinder, the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. The interior is very nice for its age. Dash has some minor cracks but the seats look fantastic. The carpet is faded but looks fine. The Carpet in the hatch area is missing. The AC system is all there and I’ve gotten the compressor to kick on a few times but the blower motor switch doesn’t always like to work. The car has had a battery tray repair done with some ugly welding. The only other rust I can find are a small hole in the hatch deck that I treated and two small spot on the flat low areas of the passenger floor pan. The Frame rails and under carriage are remarkably clean. The entire car is very straight and doesn’t have a dent on it. Original louvers. 280zx wheels. Aftermarket stereo. The tires and bushings are old and should be replaced but it still drives well considering this. I am happy to take more pictures and provide any information you might request. This is by far the Nicest Z car I’ve ever owned and is an incredible candidate for someone.
