1983 Datsun Z-Series Additional Info:

We have had this vehicle 24 years and now have to let it go. If you are looking for a finished automoble without any to do stuff, I suggest you purchase a new one and deal with recalls and a dealers wonderful service department. This one is in need of someone to pick up where I left off.
The car's clear coat is now starting to peel and the vehicle needs to be repainted. Mechanicaly this vehicles is strong, however like any 36 year old car there are areas of attention. At 156,000 miles, the front suspension has new ball joints, inner tie rod sockets, rear differential mount and outer tie rod ends. The front and rear struts have been replaced, however the right front was defective and I did not take it apart, again and replace. The interior seats and carpeting have also been replaced but add the age factor of having been done 10 years ago.. There are new tires all the way around including a full size spare. I believe I am the 3rd owner and if not for my wife's medical condition and required expenses, I would not be selling it. This is a Texas car with no cancer, minor rust around the front windshield molding, look at the pictures.The under carriage, fender wells and rocker pannels are perfect, see the pictures and the floor pans which are original are solid and 100 percent corrosion free. The engine and transmission shift and run perfectly and strong.The car does have the following items which are issues and will require attention:

1. The car needs to be repainted. There are parking lot dings on the right rear quarter panel after the door jam.2. Exhaust manifold gasket to the engine head needs to be replaced because of an exhaust leak.3. A/C compressor and drier was replaced a few years ago, however it has a hose which needs the fitting replaced or recrimped which allows freon to escape and I have had to recharge the system every season, it is NOT a leak from the compressor, condenser, or evaporator core.4. Radio cycles on and off which makes the antenna go up and down by itself at will so, I pulled the fuse and clock doesn't light up, however I have a brand new OEM replacement in the box which will be listed on ebay as a seperate transaction5.TheRF strut, makes noise over bumps6. The windows tint is getting old7. The drivers side seat back leans which I will include the replacement frame for the upholstrey shop to use8. The dash is cracked as any 36 year old 280Z, again I have an OEM replacement, NOT an aftermarket half dashwhich is very,very, very rare, however it is listed for a $1000.00, andalso listed seperately for sale on ebay.lIf you are seriously interested with any questions, just ask away.
