1978 Datsun 280Z Low Mileage

1978 Datsun Z-Series Additional Info:

I drove a copper colored 4-speed 1977 280Z back in the early 80s, and this 5-speed honey is every bit as sweet... 35 years later!!! A pleasure to drive, holds the road well, and growls like it should. Mostly stock vehicle that was originally titled in AZ. Garaged in MD with me since 2016, and before that, garaged in Minnesota from 2010 to 2016.Older partial repaint with some sunburn on roof which appears to be original paint. Typical driver's seat tears and dash cover. Two small surface rust spots (driver’s rocker and hatch jamb) shown in photos.Missing one "Z" center axle hub cap. One fusible link cover cracked. Carpets and the rest of the interior is stock and very nice. Bumpers excellent. Keyed door locks original and working. MSD ignition module. Wouldn't take much to upgrade to show car.

Correct original Hitachi radio working well / antenna motor and switch working well

AC upgrade to R134A and working well

Hatch lift struts replaced

MCD ignition module

New battery

New Pirelli P7 All Weather Radial Tires

New clutch / resurfaced flywheel

New center console

New upper and lower transmission and shifter boots and bushings

New windshield washer pump and wiper arm boots

New hand brake harness

The few parts I've replaced are mostly from Z Car Depot and are NOS, OEM or as close as possible.

Includes mechanic's service manual and owner's manual, cloth car cover, matching 280z floor mats, and many old parts if wanted, as well as service receipts and other literature and historical documents.
