1976 Datsun 620 Additional Info:
This is an honest truck with a clean title and fresh plates that shows well for being a (41) year old vehicle. This truck spent it's early life in CA, being owned by a succession of two pastors and then by one of their elderly church members, who brought it up to Portland, OR many years ago. Service records, an original owners manual and early registration that shows mileage throughout the years. The last pictures show the truck in the condition when it was purchased.
Every fluid, filter, hose and belt has been replaced. A recent fuse box, new fuel pump and a complete tune up with new points, cap, rotor and spark plug wires were installed. The brake system was completely refurbished including a new master cylinder, drums, recent brake lines, fluid and shoes. Driver side rear axle was leaking, and so inner and outer seals were replaced. An after market, but period correct, Thrush glasspack muffler and new exhaust pipe have been installed along with a replacement gear shift knob (original included).
Low profile 205 55 R16 tires on 16" Ultra aluminum wheels replaced the(included)14" steel wheels and hubcaps. The non-original bucket seats are comfortable, but need a cleaning. The carpet was removed to reveal a solid floor pan with some surface rust. The steering wheel is nice and the steering is tight. The headliner and doors and door cards are in remarkably good condition, and thegaugesanddash board are nice with one 3" crack on the dash. The seat belts have seen better days and need replacing. (From $49 on eBay) The original Nissan jack and rod (no handle) are included.
Paint is good with a nice patina but there is some rust starting to bubble a bit on both rocker panels and there is a bare metal spot on the roof the diameter of a softball. The engine is strong, runs cool and does not smoke or burn oil from my experience. The bed is in amazing condition from being covered it's whole life with a GT Spoiler camper shell (available), and the tailgate is very nice; there are a number of small screw holes in the bed rails and tailgate where the camper shell and tailgate protection were mounted. Being a single wall bed, there are some dings that loose cargo items caused over the years which show on the outside, and there is some slight damage at the front and rear corners on the passenger side.
