Hi Folks,
Up for your consideration is this frame serial number, engine and data plate matching, end of the line and very late production 1965 Datsun PL 320 offer with NO RESERVE!
-Engine is a E1 Mark 4with 13 teeth distributor and oil drive cog vs the 10 of teeth of the Mk I and II. - Enginehas the 6 phillips head screws holding down the valve cover as well as the re-breather to the air filter. -Crinkle coat dash. - Datsun 520 type chain and bracket spare tire holder vs the A-frame of previous Datsun 320 models, - UN 1000kg load springs - that's right! -Under dash tray for those high heel shoes - yes, that's how it was advertised. - 4 Speed manual, smooth case transmission, on the floor. Not alater model rib cage transmission and cut up floor or transmission tunnel. Picture is of the factory correct, narrow and tall, transmission tunnel.
I believe I am the 3rd owner of this particular320 that was originally sold at Johnson Ford-Lincoln-Mercury dealership in Lewistown, Montana. The original owner was a huge Roy Roger fan and used this Datsun 320 to sell saddles at rodeos. He had a camper top on the back to protect/secure the saddles and is the main reason the inside bed is factory fresh minus the faded paint.
I have owned this truck for the last 4 years and pretty much kept it in the garage (due to the nice bed) and only occasionally driven it. I gave it a tune up, rebuilt the hydraulics, rebuilt carburetor, and replaced the muffler.
Electrical system remains stock with POSITIVE ground Hitachi Generator and Voltage Regulator. NO Mickey Mouse wiredalternator on this one.
Tires are NOS Bias Ply D78-14 with steel valve stems and lessthan 200 miles on them. This is one size larger than original, but give it a more ruggedlook over the original C78-14 or 560-14 tires. Rims have been media blasted and painted.
Body does have its issues with some rust on the rockers, bottom fenders, and inside the cab at the front floormounting points. The damage to the left rear cab is from 1976 whenthe original owners wife pulled out into traffic from her curb side parking place - accident report is included.
Glass is all present with only a single round crack on the upper passenger glass. Quarter window locking levers are present and not broken or missing.
All badges and trim is present - trim is in excellent condition with no dings, pitting, or rust. Sorry, grill isnot the greatest shaped but can be re-chromed.
Front turn signals and rear tail lights are the original lens by Everwing -NO JC Whitney trailer tail light lens. Additionally, this 320 maintains the original license tag bracket and Everwing license taglight.
Front bumper and guards are in good shape, but no rear bumperettes - I chucked the 75lbs homemadedock side rear bumper, it just looked terrible.
If their is a Datsun 320 model that's worth putting you money into - THIS is the model.
There is absolutely no warranty on the 52 year old Datsun - so think twice if you are not mechanically inclined. Parts are available - you just have to do your research or join an on line forum and ask questions.

Buyer is responsible for shipping - I'll drive it to a COMMERICIAL location - old Walmart/Kmart parking lotoff major road at zip 66048. DO NOTtell the shipping company it is at a residence - it will not be - as they charge more for this.
Also insure your shipping company and/or their subcontractor is aware of the narrow track. I have had two shippers in the past that had commercial trailers that could not accommodate a 320 -they were told via phone and email. Please keep a record of who you talk to, date, and time of your conversation as they will try to play dumb and stupid with you when they have to drive away without your little 320.
