1978 Datsun Z-Series 280Z Additional Info:

This 1978 Datsun 280 Z has 12,781 original miles and a 5-speed manual
transmission. I purchased the car from the original owner two years ago.
The car was last on the road in 1987. See registration sticker on the window.
The original owner at the time of purchase had everything rust proofed.
Including undercarriage, wheel wells and engine bay.
Essentially preserving the car.
I planned on setting the car up for myself to use.
Shortly after I purchased all the parts to go through the car to make it
reliable and dependable. For it was last on the road 30 years ago.
Unfortunately I never had the time to get to it.
So it sat in my garage until 2 months ago.
The car was originally sold by Jim Taylor's Nissan of Meadville, PA.
The dealership special ordered the red inserts on the front seats.
For they showed the car at local car shows in Western,PA and
N.E. Ohio. This is not a restored car, It has original paint, interior, ect.
Has all original engine stickers.
A TRUE SURVIVOR.
Recent work performed-
New rims and tires.
Professionally refurbished gas tank, new fuel pump and fuel injectors.
New front brake calipers installed.
New clutch master and slave cylinders
New water pump, thermostat and radiator hoses. Radiator was flushed and looked real good.
Major tune up. Including plugs, wires, cap, rotor, new coil, air filter, fan belt.
and fuel and oil filters.
All new hoses going over the motor.
The car just had a New York State inspection. See the 2017 sticker on windshield.
The car runs, shifts and brakes very smoothly. Like a 12,000 mile car.
With everything where it supposed to be.
The car was then given a very extensive detail. Outside, inside and engine bay.
The interior shows like new. NO CRACKS in the dash.
Original owner took out the radio
to place an elaborate sound system in the car but never finished.
Needs a radio.
The paint is all original. The paint has a lot of depth. Shows very nice!
There are flaws seeing the paint is 40 years old.
Some chips and popping on the rocker panels. Some cracking in the paint
on the valence near the louvers. Some discoloration in a few spots.
Also on passenger rear quarter panel two areas the size of a 50 cent piece
where the paint blistered. I touched up myself. See photo of quarter panel.
One just in front of the gas cap lid and the other below passenger rear window.
See photo. And some minor chips or pops where they have been simply
brush touched. To see the blemishes mentioned you must get very close to the car.
Within 3 feet. I was going to have the rockers, valance and two spots
on the quarter panel blended which would have left it a 90% first paint car
But decided against it. Keeping it a true first paint car. All original.
Again the paint shows very nice.
The front bumper shows very nice. Some small pitting and fade on the
back bumper. But very presentable.
No rust issues on the undercarriage. The rust proofing preserved it.
See photo.
Comes with owners manual, Nissan sales brochure from 1978.
Original tool kit with the lugs still in the original bag.
The first time the spare was taken out was by me for the photos.
The car is available for inspection. The car is located in Buffalo, New York.
