You are bidding on a limited edition and very rare Citroen 2CV “Sausss Ente.” This car was produced only in 1987 and introduced into the German market with only 1,000 examples produced. This is probably one of the few examples you are going to find in excellent, original condition with the original Bamboo Green paint (no rust, Arizona car). It has been mechanically restored (see below) and comes with the new, original decals (not installed on the car). The prices of these limited-edition 2CVs will continue to go up, and you will have one of the rarest 2CVs produced and a great investment, too.
This car was fully mechanically refurbished with a complete engine tune-up, new carburetor, alternative, brakes, hoses, lines, tires (with inner tubes), shocks, battery, etc. The car only has 48K original miles with a NOS, original speedometer in MPH (versus kilometer), very rare. All lights, switches, and instrumentation panel work perfectly and are original. The car runs and sounds great, and everything works as it should, including the period radio. The canvas top is like new along with the seats. The top can roll all the way back to transform the car into a convertible for all four passengers, and can be opened from the inside of the car even while travelling at slow speeds.
Not only does the car look really good but it drives great! The engine is the best that Citroen ever put into the wonderful 2CVs with 602cc displacement and dual barrel carburetor coupled with front disc brakes for the best stopping power. You can cruise around in this 2CV at normal highway speeds, top speed of over 73 mph.
In 1987, the Citroen 2CV Sausss Ente, with an increase in "engine power", was introduced into the German market as noted above. The color is called Green Bamboo and presents the decal of a "whippy duck" with the words “from 0 km to 100 km in 59 seconds.” Very rare indeed!
