1968 Chrysler 300 Series Fast Top Hardtop Additional Info:

1968 Chrysler 300 Clone 2-Door Fast Top Hardtop Coupe. I purchased a running 300 to restore, but upon close examination, the chassis was rusted beyond repair. I found a New Yorker Coupe (Roller Chassis) and decided to use it as a 300 "Clone" since I have all the unique 300 trim including a complete 300 front clip, grill, bumper, etc. from my original donor car. This chassis is loaded with all power options, windows, seats, steering, brakes, air conditioning, tilt & telescopic steering column, bucket seats, remote trunk release, etc. It includes a running "D" code 1968 440 engine and an A-518 overdrive automatic transmission. The engine needs rebuilt heads with hardened valve seats for non-leaded fuel. I performed an oiled down compression test and all have 150 psi range compression except # 1, which appears to have burned valves from non-leaded fuel. Rear axle is a standard 2.93 ratio and I have a spare limited slip 2.93 ratio 3rd member that goes with the car. As you can see, the car is cream/off white and the front clip is bronze or maroon. The car has 15" wheels and I have the correct 1968 15" wheel covers. Other items include new Legendary seat covers, new headliner and new carpet, all still in vendor boxes. AM radio in dash works and I have 2 AM-FM radios that go with the car. All parts are included, nuts, bolts, screws, trim, etc.except for power brake booster and master cylinder. I intended to upgrade to 1973 disc brakes, but did not get that far. The body has damage to the left rear quarter as shown in the photos. I had to put the disassembled vehicle in storage 5 years ago and now I have lost my storage. I realize that I can't finish the resto-mod project and hope someone else will. I do not want to part it out if someone will buy the whole unit. I have many other miscellaneous parts and everything I have for a 1968 300 goes with the deal. The vehicle has a clear Arkansas title in my name.
