Please do me the courtesy of reading this entire ad before asking questions, or biddin, and if you have any questions, or want to buy this R, CALL THE NUMBER IN THE AD HEADLINE. I will not respond to messages here. I have been selling vehicles on ebay for about 30 years now, and I have found that people who pick up the phone and call are (more) serious buyers, and people who are nervous and only want to message .. and just tire kickers who will never buy anything. SO - I only respond to the phone . : 912.4148993
Vehicle and I are just outside Eugene, Orego, 97448
This is a 1976 FMC 2900, which has been professionally upgraded to a 8.2L Detroit Diesel V8 engine and Allison Automatic transmission. In the very recent past, the electrical system was upgraded / redone as well, and a lot of $$ was spent making this more modern and usable / reliable . HOWEVE, the interior still needs some rehabbing.
ALCOA aluminum wheels and like new tires cost over $4000 and are like new.
The dining area where the passenger seat is and dining table is stripped out . I have the water tanks which originally go here, but it is up to you to build out seats and dining area. The original bedroom, bathroom, and closets are still here and in good enough shape to use. Original fixtures present and look good. This has been sitting outside all winter in the rain, and it really did not leak inside at all, so that is good!
It has sat for months, and still started easily/ instantly. Engine starts easily and runs good, transmission shifts as it shoul, these things feel healthy, but brakes require pumping now to stop.... If you want to drive this home, you can, but be careful! I drive this home about 50 miles like this.
This is ready to be finished out how you like. The FMC is considered one of the best, if not the best motorhome of its time, or perhaps of all time? Very cool look. I would not mind keeping it here in my yard as an AD, if that is how the cookie crumbles, but I thought I would offer it out there for sale also, because Im not going to lie to you : I like cash money.
What else can I tell you ? This Turbo Diesel FMC is a rare diesel engine conversion. Rare opportunity to find one with the big, heavy, expensive lifting done already.
I can help arrange transport anywhere in the USA. I have clear Oregon title in hand. Motorhome will not leave my possession until it has been paid for in full. Must be paid by cash in hand, wire transfe, venmo or cashapp/ something we discuss beforehand. I do not accept whatever thing ebay is trying to force you to use. You do not have to use it. They are just trying to get even more money off of you and I with their extra services.
CALL 912.4148993 with any questions, thank you .
I am not able to finish this project due to medical issues and business obligations. Thank you . RV and I are in zip code 97448 .
