Here is a beautiful 1951 Chrysler New Yorker Convertible in excellent condition inside and out. Finished in stunning Belvedere Ivory with an ultra-unique maroon Highlander plaid interior, this is the first year for the Hemi V8 engine. To top off its rarity, it is one of only 660 ever produced. Sitting on a set of factory chrome wire wheels wrapped in wide white wall tires makes the car even more impressive.
We have this car on consignment by the son of its long-time owner who recently passed. We are selling it for the estate. His father purchased the car around 2009 and used it sparingly on weekends, taking it to some local car shows over the years. It even won several awards at local car shows, which are included with the sale. The car shows wonderfully and makes a great cruiser. It appears to have always been a Southwest car, as it has what looks to be a completely rust-free body. I would say it was an older restoration of what has always been a nice car.
Due to his father's health, the car was rarely driven in the past several years and basically just sat. He recently had the carburetor rebuilt, replaced the battery, and we re-did the rear brakes. However, the car still needs a little sorting out to be driven and enjoyed fully. With a weekend's work, it would be ready to cruise. He chose to sell it as is, discount the car, and pass on the savings to the next owner. This is a great buy for someone with a lot of upside for a nice profit or just a great deal. Don't miss out on this amazing classic, as it should be a $50K to $60K car all day long!
