No one who sees this car in person will be disappointed. Reasonable offers welcomed.
Just 2,847 Newport convertibles were produced in 1968, with probably fewer than 1,000 remaining, so if you're into Mopars, and looking for something fun, different, and meticulously restored and cared for, this is all of that. A wonderful highway cruiser with Absolutely ZERO rust, not even a single bubble, anywhere on this car. The top is in mint condition, with the optional glass rear window, and operates flawlessly. The car runs and drives like new, with zero issues from the motor, transmission, or rear end. For more details, see below. A thorough walkaround video can be seen here:

PAINT/BODY: This is a show quality base/clear respray in the factory Antique Ivory, with added pearl. I tried to show the pearl in a couple of close up pics above. The body panels are smooth as silk, with zero rust, excellent gaps, and doors which open and shut with the push of a finger. All chrome and stainless is virtually perfect, all emblems are new or restored to new, taillight bezels are restored, grill and bezels are like new, all windows line up nicely, and the top is like new with no issues. I simply cannot say enough about how nice everything is about the exterior of this car. Pictures just don't do it justice.
INTERIOR: Clean and tidy are the key words. All seats, door panels, visors, carpet, dash, etc are in excellent shape. No cracks on the dash, excellent carpet (may yet be original), and all of the chrome and switches are in great shape. The AC blows cold, but the fan is on the weak side. The cruise control works, the horn, lights, signals, all work, both front and rear speakers work, even the factory windshield squirters still work! A Sony AM/FM/CD player works great and is housed in a custom burled wood mini-console which utilizes the same wood as the steering wheel, and the same upholstery material and carpet as the rest of the car. A very nice, professional touch. The top boot cover fits snugly and all the snaps work. It does show some slight wear, but nothing requiring replacement. There is also a small seam separation on the lower rear seat cushion. Otherwise, this thing is just about perfect inside.
DRIVELINE: The 383 starts and idles great, with no undue valvetrain noise or exhaust manifold leaks. Optional items include PS and PDB. It's been upgraded with a 4bbl intake and carb, but the engine appears otherwise stock and exceptionally clean underhood. Please note I have tons more pics of little details which show just how nice the underhood area has been restored and maintained. It has a new fuel pump, new dual exhaust system, and newer rear shocks. The 727 transmission shifts excellent with no known issues. Like many of these old classics, the power steering pump does leak, but there are no other oil, transmission, or rear end leaks.
CHASSIS: Tons of factory-applied undercoating are still visible, and there is no rust in the frame rails, trunk pan, or floorboards. Just a super solid car. New exhaust and some minor detailing round out this area.
WHEELS/TIRES: With a Buy-It-Now purchase, you will get both a complete set of chrome wire wheels with like-new whitewall tires, plus the Chrysler rallye wheels and tires you see on the car, PLUS the original steel wheels. Lesser offers will come with the chrome wire wheels and original steel wheels only.
If you still have questions, please take me up on my offer of the additional pictures and video. NO ONE will be disappointed with the quality of this car for the price. Can you drive it home? I'd say you could with no problem, but officially, I always recommend shipping an old classic until you are familiar with its personality and quirks.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The car is sold "as is, where is" with no warranty expressed or implied. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of purchase, and all remaining funds are due within 7 days. Car does not leave my possession until paid in full. No exceptions. Please have your funds and permissions in order BEFORE bidding/buying the car. Transportation costs are the sole responsibility of the buyer, but I can help make all the arrangements with a great transport broker/service that is fast and fair, so no worries there. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, ASK BEFORE YOU BID! I cannot stress this enough. Please call me at 913-461-4890. I'm happy to answer any questions, and I'll gladly accommodate a Pre-Purchase Inspection. I've tried to describe the car as completely as possible, but know I cannot possibly cover every last detail, option, defect, or minor flaw. If you aren't familiar with classic cars, please call me so we can talk over any possible questions or issues. This is a wonderful car in every conceivable way, but old cars require regular care and feeding, more so than new cars. Thanks for your interest and I look forward to helping you make some new memories with this fun, great driving Mopar convertible!
