1948 Chrysler Windsor 4 Door Sedan Additional Info:

West Coast Classics are proud to present this exceptionally well preserved survivor example of this completely rust and accident free 1948 Chrysler Windsor 4 Door Sedan in its original factory 'Gunmetal Gray' (color code 8) paint and with it's reliable and virtually bullet-proof Chrysler in line Flathead 250 L Head six cylinder engine with a manual semi automatic 3 speed 'Fluid Drive' transmission! The Chrysler Windsor with the semi automatic Fluid Drive transmission delivered modern style performance and this is a now very rare and desirable and collectible example of one of America's premier early post war cars. Chrysler's Windsor model was available as either a sedan, convertible, club coupe or business coupe configurations. This is one of the most attractive and distinguished roof-lines of any car of it's day and proved to be a significant influence in the coming decades era of larger and even more imposingly styled cars. This particular car must be one of the finest mostly all original examples anywhere with reportedly only some 85K original miles in it's original factory color with a matching original broadcloth wool interior. Factory options included; 'Comfort Master Heater', 8 tube radio, directional signals, electric clock, windshield wipers, luggage compartment light, 'Safe Guard' hydraulic brakes, small hubcaps, etc. The car was reportedly in climate controlled storage for over 40 years before being acquired in 2020 by its most recent owner. The car was comprehensively serviced in the years since being acquired from the previous owner between the years 2020 to present with a new battery, alternator, rebuilt carburetor, water pump, axle seals, tires, replaced brakes, belts & hoses, all new exhaust system, rebuilt transmission, head gasket. The original spare wheel is in it's rightful storage place in the trunk. The 250 6 cylinder engine is extremely strong and powerful and this particular car drives magnificently - must be driven to be fully appreciated - drives straight as an arrow with no strange road wobbles, shakes or rattles. This is a rare opportunity to own a very rare mostly all original survivor and a great daily driving example of an obviously never abused (and oozing pride of ownership) 1948 Chrysler Windsor 4 Door Sedan!
