This is a 1957 Imperial (Chrysler) with NO RESERVE. It features a 392 Hemi Engine and Chrysler's Torque Flite Transmission. The car was part of my father's estate (he passed in June). When he died he was in the middle of working on the push button transmission and the car currently has the drive shaft removed and the transmission fluid pan pulled off (see pics). All the transmission parts come with it (including a new pan gasket). The car was running and driving prior to this so I do not believe it has any problem with the motor (Car is not running currently). It will need someone to fix the push button linkage and put the transmission back together. The frame, body and interior seem very solid to me (see pics). I believe the paint is original and the interior of the car is in really good shape considering its vintage. Someone along the line replaced the floor carpet with a blue carpet (wouldn't be my choice) but it is functional.
Known flaws: Push button transmission linkage, various small rust spots (see pics), rear quarter panel patches (see pics), right passenger side door handle not opening door, wheels are not original, small sheet metal spark plug covers are missing. All electronics (power windows, locks, etc. seem to be working fine). I believe this will be a steal for someone with mechanical ability.
Winning bidder will arrange with seller final inspection and pick up of the vehicle in Alderson, WV December 27 - 30 or make other arrangements with seller. Third Party inspection is welcome and encouraged (although no one will be on the property at that time, but can access the car).
