Vehicle Details
Next Up! But first go back in time. Imagine the early 80’s, you had a head full of hair, star football player. Then out of no where you grew up and were driving one of these. Yep a fuel efficient four cylinder car to save money on gas. It was time to raise a family and get to work.Up for bid on this “NO RESERVE” auction is a 1985 Chrysler Lebaron four door sedan. You are buying with the piece of mind knowing your purchasing from a family owned car dealership that my brother and I own. Wally Armour Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram located in Alliance Ohio. We’ve been in business since 1981. My brother asked me to list this car along with several others from our personal collection, so be sure to look at my other listings, all will be No reserve auctions. Test drives and inspections before making your final bid are welcome. All the vehicles will be sold AS-IS of course. The pictures have been taken within a few short days of listing on EBay and I have not modified any pictures. This is no ordinary 4 cylinder car, this baby is “Turbo”. Yes it has that legendary turbo whistle when you step on the gas. Let’s face it, she’s no muscle car but she is a steady eddy! Starts with ease, drives like brand new. Everything works with the exception of the FM radio button, sometimes she works, sometimes it’s just am radio. It is defiantly the am/fm radio button but sometimes you’ll be listening to fm and it’s switches to am. I simply think the car wants to hear the news rather than loud rock or hip hop, not much to say about that. The air conditioning blows cold, power locks work, and hand crank windows. I personally have not driven car much but my brother has and, to be candid, he’s depressed a little about selling it. He really drove this a lot over the past three years. We got the car on April 2nd 2020 with 9241 miles on it and now it has 9580. When we first got the car we did our usual safety inspection and had to replace the oil pan because it had a leak. I don’t see a leak under the oil pan any more but I do see some seepage from the bottom half of transaxle area. It does “NOT” leave a drip on the floor, so don’t let that scare you, but I saw it and if you were under car with me I would point it out. We also replaced the wiper motor because the wipers were not working, they’ve worked ever since. The car really does put you back in time when your driving it. She runs great, no wining no rattles just a tiny turbo whistle when you accelerate. Everything appears to be original even down to the wheel covers, with two exceptions. The tires and the headliner. Somewhere along the time we have had the car we put one tire on it, so there are 3 of the same tires and one new tire, they don’t match. Three tires that are the same and one that’s a good year. The three tires are dry rotted slightly and showing their age but they hold air and we drive it so we didn’t replace them. I personally believe that was an oversight. I think the shop replaced one tire due to loosing air, we probably should have replaced all four but we didn’t. I already explained the radio and the tires. Last week I just had headliner replaced along with the vent visors done as well. I also had them do the apolstry around the inside of rear driver side and passenger side windows so the inside looks like a time capsule. Some other things about the car I hope the photos will tell you. The paint appears to be original for the most part. I did see some overspray in the door jam on the passenger side rear door jam. I left it there, so now you know. The deck lid is fading and the headliner is fading and it has it’s minor nicks and scratches, see pictures. This car could be a dailey driver or kept as is or touched up to make perfect or like showroom new. That will be left up to the next owner. It’s been a while since listing on EBay so I anticipate minor amendments or adding additional information as questions come in.
Additional note. You may have seen this car listed in June. The person who bought it never contacted me, no contact after way too many attempts. I tried to give negative feedback but eBay seems to be different than I remember. The old item number was 2957714544617 and the people who one auction and never got ahold of me “ajpkassociates”. I added this note so if you did see it before and wondered why it’s back on eBay this is why. I was disappointed in how much it sold for as the car is a TIME CAPSULE. I simply like no reserve auctions, just part of the excitement of watching it being bid on knowing as long as the bidder is honest bidder he or she will end up the winner on a pretty neat old car. The car is rare, maybe not a huge horsepower or loud car, but it sure brings back memories when I was younger selling these exact cars brand new. It makes me laugh actually, wow have cars come a long way. I chose not to change any of the description as to validate my honesty it how i try to represent vehicles i am listing for sale on ebay.
I also noticed if you view on eBay versus eBay motors one shows 40 photos and the other shows many more so look at both eBay and eBay motors to be sure your seeing all the photos In took.
I am listing two other cars on eBay, a 1984 Lincoln Town Car, a 1968 Dodge Coronet. I’m also listing another car on bring a trailer dot com., My brother has bought cars on that sight but ebay is just something I’m mor familiar with, a little different than what i remember but I’m slowly figuring it out again. All cars are sold AS-iS.
