1979 Chrysler Newport Ex Oregon Highway Patrol Police Pursuit car.
As you know this is a really rare end of an era one year only body stlye E-58 360 4 barrell dual exhaust Pursuit car.
Not the fastest of the old Mopar squads but pretty darn fun to drive. Anyone remember the first Rambo movie?
If not I would go to youtube and check it out.These Newports may be the bigger star in the movie.
If you like old school Mopar cop cars that is.
This car is registered and has a clean title. I bought it as a project and have done quite a bit of work to it.
New complete fuel system, brakes,full tune up, fluids, headliner, trunk carpet, package tray etc. The all vinyl bucket seat interior is in great shape as is the crack free dash.This car still wears its original paint, trunk lid under side should be re painted due to peeling surface crust, could be left as is or restore? Depends on what a buyer wants. I would consider this a work in progress.
Not a daily driver just yet but really close, it runs and drives great. I would still get it up on a lift and do a few more things, u joints, shocks hoses, needs new tires, some dash trim etc.
I'm thinning the herd so bid to win this great piece of Mopar Police car History. Go Blue and Fund the Police!!!!!
