1947 Chrysler Town and country Woody convertible. If you're looking at this woody then I'm sure you know how rare these cars are. This car has a 323 straight 8 and a semi-automatic hydromatic transmission. It has an original 56K Miles with clean Title. This Woody has been pretty well sorted out mechanically it runs/ drives and stops, it does everything it is supposed to do. The under carriage is rock solid including the frame pretty much rust free car. Please read the entire description, This car would be great for someone who's handy with woodworking. There are 60+ Pictures plus a drive video. You might have to click see full description if on a mobile phone. Mechanically- we have gone through the car mechanically it has new coil, points, spark plugs and wires along with fuel filter. The tank has been drained. The carburetor has been gone through All fluids been flushed and changed including the brakes. This car runs drives and stops, it does everything is supposed to do. The electronics do work, gauges, blower motor, right down to the wiper motor. The starter has also been rebuilt, you will need a new muffler and tailpipe section. Cosmetically- The metal on this car is 100% rust-free even where it shows some paint peel and some surface rus, it is rock solid. The chrome is beautiful and we have all parts for the car so if you see something missing in the picture please don't assume we do not have it just ask. The car will go with original tail light, chrome mirror extra pieces of chrome and any little wood extra pieces we have for the car along armrest, handles we have everything. The interior of this car is beautiful, the leather seats are like brand new, The dash is an excellent condition. The top is also basically brand new and does work. The Power top works like brand new, hit the switch and it goes right down or up perfectly. We also have the parade boot cover for the convertible as well. The wood does need some restoration as you can see in the photos. The car was in a private garage unit for many years stored. The original owner many years ago started to sand down some of the polyurethane a little bit to start redoing it and unfortunately with age never got to resume. It was sitting in his garage pole barn unfortunately a little bit of moisture. This would be a great car for a woodworker who's handy. The metal body is in great shape and would be very easy to repaint. The frame the undercarriage all the suspension is an excellent condition. There there's one tiny little spot on the right rear trunk floor that's showing a little bit of rust. Besides that the floorboard, frame rails structure of this car is 100% rust-free and perfect every way. Your main focus on this call would be the woodworking to bring it back to its former glory. We are a specialty classic car repair shop. This was one of our personal cars. As this is an appreciating asset we planned on one day getting to the woodwork and put in the car away considering that it is extremely hard and rare to find these vehicles. Unfortunately we don't do too much with wood, right now we have so many projects going on we don't really have the space so some things have to go. Shipping- we can help you set up a wholesale low-cost door-to-door shipping if need be. Please if you were serious buyer pick up the phone and call. I'm going to have him make an offer option here on eBay but if I can't speak to you on the phone it will just be ignored. We need to have all details worked out prior to accepting an offer it's the best interest of both parties. Please call 570-234-0587 |
