1964 Chrysler Imperial Additional Info:
1964 Imperial Crown Convertible. One of 922 manufactured. 413 Wedge V8 (quoted output 340HP) runs strong, not leaking, push-button torque-flight automatic transmission, power top, power front seats, AM/FM stereo.
- Good: Runs, shifts and brakes well. All gauges working except for alternator gauge recently a piece within the gauge cluster fell off in the alternator gauge box. The gauge worked but that piece fell off. Body is straight. Trim in pretty good shape, straight but worn. Interior in pretty good shape, one tear in front seat where pull handle to release the seat back rubs but otherwise good.
- Bad: The elements have gotten to this car and it should really be parked inside if possible. Paint is faded and flaking, some rust starting to show, (a patch pictured on the deck above the trunk lid, a few in the door sills, as well as a few spots on the underside of the car), power windows and power top stopped working recently (power top stopped working in July when i heard what sounded like a leak in the hydraulics, haven't investigated), I investigated the window motors and they appear to need to be rebuilt (that's why door panel is off driver's side), multiple tears in the top.
I tried to describe anything i know of but if you want to have the car inspected we can work on arranging that. No warranties expressed or given.
Would be willing to deliver it within a reasonable radius (100 miles) around Portland Oregon area or slightly further if arranged.
Unfortunately with current conditions and 5 kids to feed i need to sell this car that I've loved driving for the last 5 years. Looking for a good home for this car that deserves to be preserved and is a pretty valuable car in restored condition. Feel free to message me for more details.
