1967 Chrysler 300 Series 2 Door Hardtop Additional Info:
VINTAGE MOPAR MUSCLE AND A RARE GEM! 1967 Chrysler 300 survivor, 440 V8 350 HPsmooth running engine, 2-door hardtop. 51,700 original miles and original parts except for passenger side mirror. Body is in very good condition for its age. Interior is in VERY GOOD condition. Garaged/idle for 25 years in The Dalles, Oregon area, due to headlights switch and ensuing electrical issues caused by original owner who tried to bypass the issue; all have been resolved (details in list below). This was a fairly common issue with the 300s, Newports, and New Yorkers of that era. The engine and drivetrain have never been an issue with this car. Won't take much to get this beauty back to near original condition. It's all here.
If this car is so great, why am I selling it? She's too big for my liking. I didn't choose this car; I'm selling it for my dad. If this was an E-Body, it wouldn't be on the market, and it would be well into a restoration. Details:
- Excellent running condition (new spark plugs @51.2K miles), drives well, automatic transmission shifts smoothly
- Latest lube and oil service @51.5K miles showed all fluids and seals as they should be. Runs on clear gas
- Excellent braking (drum brakes tuned 400 miles ago; new rear shoes Nov. 2019)
- New front shocks
- New battery (51,300 miles) and negative cable, new oil pressure switch
- All lights work; repaired original headlights switch and added relay so load is off switch (dimmer switch works; expert electrician has gone through entire car and there are no electrical issues)
- ORIGINAL AM RADIO WORKS!; added new front in-dash speaker
- Heater/defrost work
- Glass pack dual pipe exhaust. Spring hanger lift kit on back.
- Chrome parts are excellent.
- Original wheels (4) and wheel covers, and 1 full front spare are included. Current setup is 14" tires in front, 15" rear
- Power brakes, steering, windows (back 2 don't work, but affordable replacement motors easy to find; I've researched).
- No fluid leaks. No AC. Gas gauge does not work. Rear defrost does not work (needs new fan).
- Moderate rust in trunk. Vinyl top is gone.
She's big (18'3"), bold, and makes a statement in sight and sound. This is a great way to get into a classic that is ready for its next chapter (hover conversion?). I'm excited for the next owner who knows the potential of this classic.
