1966 Chrysler 300 Series Additional Info:
This Chrysler 300 was restored in the early 2000's and refinished in it original, rare Turbine Bronze color. This MM1 was a rare color in 1966 as it was only available in the second half of the model year. The original engine and transmission were rebuilt at that time. This is a rust free car with excellent chrome and trim. It has power steering, power brakes, cold AC converted to R134 with a rebuilt original style compressor. Also it has a power driver's seat and power windows. I have all records going back to the original owner whom it was sold to in California.
These are items that I am aware of that where replaced, repaired or rebuilt in the past before I bought it 2 1/2 years ago: original 383 engine rebuilt, 727 trans rebuilt by Aamco, exhaust system replaced, new rear leaf springs, u joints, front seats recovered, Magnum 500 wheels and carpet replaced.
These are the items that has been done since I bought it: Tri City rear bumper, front turn signal lenses, all lights converted to LED, clock rebuilt, an original AM/FM radio converted by RetroRadio to bluetooth with new speakers also, new door sill plates, fuel sender, battery, mini starter, new design rear main seal, new radiator, Edelbrock carb with electric choke, Pertronix ignition, brake converted to dual master cylinder with new brake lines and hoses. KYB shocks, Code dated spark plug wires, AC compressor, fuel pump and rod, 90 amp alternator, new tires. There are many other smaller items I have replace which are too numerous to mention. The vehicle also comes with a new California Car Cover! I also have many spare parts that are also included.
The items that I know of that need attention are: the speedometer needle jumps around, the power steering pump has a slight leak, the driver's door power window switch has one button that is flaky, the heater core has a small leak and has been bypassed and the left rear side widow has some scratches as shown in the pictures (good replacement glass included)
This car is VERY comfortable to drive and has everything you need to drive cross county except cruise control. I am a retired ASE Master Technician and have gone through the car from top to bottom.
