There is some very minor body damage on several fenders. There is minor rust (small holes, nothing major) in the floors on both the Driver and Passenger sides, easily repaired. Some of the chrome is tarnished but very nice. All the Glass is in good condition, no cracks. Tires have low mileage. The beautiful original leather interior is in very good usable condition. Note the door panels, like new! Headliner is like new. The interior Wood and Chrome Trim are very nice. Rear Door Latch and Hinges are in good condition. The Dash, Radio /Grill, Dash Controls and Glove Box are all functional and in very presentable condition.
The only question is the paint color. According to the Chrysler build tag the paint code is “06”. Based on an original “Ditzler” Chrysler 1953 paint chart, 06 is Erie Blue Poly. The car appears to be “Code 45” Caravan Beige? There are some signs of a dark color under the Beige in areas where the paint is damaged. Based on this we are assuming the car has been re-painted?
I had the opportunity to drive this Cool Ride; the Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Transmission and Engine all function properly and provide a comfortable driving experience.
Anyone looking to purchase a vehicle of this era would be lucky to own this vehicle. Drive it home and be the envy at the next car cruise.
