1967 Chrysler Imperial Additional Info:

STATUS: Clear MD Title, garaged and continually driven; 1 of 577 built; Grade: 4 Plus

SOURCE: The car was sold in Beverly Hills, CA in 1967, later sold in 2000 to a dealer in LA. I bought the car in January, 2000 and am the third owner. The speedometer head has been replaced so the exact mileage is unknown but given my annual 2,000 miles or so, I estimate total mileage at about 120,000.
DESCRIPTION: White exterior, light blue interior with black cloth tope and glass rear window. 440 ci (7.2 L), 4 bbl, automatic transmission; power steering, power brakes, power windows, power vent windows, power door locks, power top (serviceable cloth with glass rear window); AM/FM radio; power bucket seats with center “buddy” seat; heater & manual A/C, tilt/telescope steering column, no cracks in dash pad. A MOPAR© electronic distributer and ignition has been installed along with new spark plug wires and plugs. Interior seat upholstery, rear window well and carpet have been replaced. New pushrods, hydraulic lifters and rebuilt heads (Aerohead©) with 88 cc open chamber design, 2.14 x 1.81 stainless valves, 3 angled valve job, 185cc intake port volume, umbrella seals, 0.509” lift valve springs, 7 degree locks, chrome moly retainers and bronze guides. The trunk has a set of finished panels with insulation and carpeting.

MECHANICAL WORK DONE: Many replacement parts have been installed within last 10,000 miles: (1) disc brake calipers; (2) disc brake rotors; (3) carburetor; (4) radiator; (5) fan clutch; (5) alternator (6) fuel pump; (7) water pump: (8) battery; (9) battery cables; (10) rear leaf springs and shackles; (11) hoses; (12) brake pads; (13), power brake booster; (14) master cylinder; (15) valve cover gaskets; (16) side power window motors; (17) custom BF Goodrich 235 by 15 by 75 radial 3/8” ‘bluewalls”; (18) quartz clock movement; (19) transmission neutral switch; and, (20) fan belts.

STATUS: The car is a grade 4+ and needs TLC – mainly cosmetic. The reserve price is low commensurate with the current grade of the car and the amount of new, NORS and good used parts recently installed and others which go with the vehicle. (One turn signal lens alone was recently listed for $450 on eBay.) There is minor rust through below both bumper ends. Some minor surface rust but no “thru” rust is in evidence in the floor, outside rear quarter, front fenders or rocker panels.

MANY EXTRA PARTS INCLUDED: (refer to pictures): cornering lights and extra lenses, hoses and belts, AM/FM radio, trunk lock and keyset, roof rail weather stripping, radio bezel, tail light assemblies, two heater / AC dash control head, chrome trim, repainted bumper jack stand, base and lug wrench, two speedometer heads with gauges, dash switches, power antenna, walnut veneer sheets, dashpad and more (See photos).

WORK NEEDED: (1) repaint; (2) bumpers re-chromed; (3) vent windows are slow; (4) recharge A/C; (5) replace heater/AC control head – two used units go with car. Being a 50-year old car, it is being sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS with NO WARRANTY expressed, written or implied. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs.
