1967 Chrysler Imperial Convertible Additional Info:
This beautiful land-yacht has been enjoyed by my parents for the past 17 years. She is a full 23 feet long and is a cruiser. She now needs a new home. The car began its life in PA, with a collector from Manheim, PA, selling it to a dealer in NH, who sold it to the owner of Cross Motors (which was a Chrysler dealer in Littleton, NH) in 1975 with 91.000 miles. The 1975 title comes with the car. I am told that Mr. Cross used the car to tow his Woodie collection to shows in New England. My parents purchased the car while on vacation in NH, and brought it to Warwick, Rhode Island where it has resided since 2000. The 1967 Chrysler Imperial convertible was considered a luxury car in its day. It is one of 572 built in 1967, with much less on the road or in this condition today. It is highly optioned with power vent windows, air conditioning, power windows, power locks. The body, top and paint were fully restored in 1992. Overall the paint is in excellent condition for its age. The convertible top is in good shape, there is a boot cover for those days cruising with the top down. The beautiful blue paint gets attention when you are traveling. The Imperial is equipped with a 440 V-8 engine with over 100,000+miles that provides plenty of power, and runs good. We do not know the actual mileage but I do know it is in excess of 100,000. My Dad regularly changed the oil. We recently installed a new battery, starter and had the driver side windows switches repaired. We are selling the car with some spare parts included: a reconditioned set of rear brake drums; misc. switches, bullet caps for the rear quarters that are rust free. There is a small exhaust leak. The air conditioning system needs repair and/or charging. The brakes work but my Dad had planned to replace in order to improve the stopping power, which is why we are including the set of drums in the sale. Overall the car looks great, and with some work, she will provide a new family with many fond memories. I can email links for video of the car running or provide additional pictures upon request. The car has the original owner's manual, original warranty manual and original 1967 Chrysler brochure for the Imperial car line.
