1979 Chrysler Cordoba Base Additional Info:
You are bidding on an original, unmolested 1979 Chrysler Cordoba, with a 360 V-8, automatic, bucket seats, and a console. White over read "Corinthian Leather" seats, this fun Mopar has been a Georgia car all its life, and needs a new home. It is equipped with A/C (everything there, but the compressor doesn't kick on), tilt wheel, cruise control, and AM/FM radio. It starts right up with a few pumps of the accelerator, and has had all of its fluids changed and received a light tune up. Overall, it runs and drives pretty well for a car of this age.
It is in original condition, but overall is in good shape. The pictures tell most of the story, but this is what I know:
Exterior: The paint looks to be original, but may have been repainted. It is faded and chipped, but overall looks ok for a "driver". It needs a new vinyl top and most likely has rust underneath in spots, but is ok. Probably a 6/10. There are no glaring dents or evidence of bodywork. I have taken pictures of the cracks in the plastic and the vinyl top. I have emblems for the front fenders which come with the car. The doors open and shut like they should and don't sag, for the most part. The trunk does not appear to have any rust, nor do the floors or frame.
Interior: The pictures show most of it--it is in good shape for the age. The dash has a few cracks, but nothing major. The buckets are in good shape; may need dyeing and a small tear in the driver's seat. The door panels are ok, the rear seat is very good, and the carpet and headliner are in good shape also. There doesn't appear to be any leaks coming inside the car. The car has tilt, cruise, buckets, console shifter, crank windows, manual locks, A/C, and AM/FM radio (which doesn't work). The windshield wipers come on, but only one of the arms work (thankfully the driver's side). The turn signals work, also.
Engine/drivetrain: The 360 is a little cold-natured, but cranks and runs good when warmed up. The transmission shifts well, and I had a tuneup done as well as a new battery and fluids. The engine doesn't smoke when started and sounds like it should. Everything appears to be stock and unmolested. The A/C doesn't work but everything is there. It could simply need an evacuation and charging, but its doubtful. Overall, it drives pretty well, but it is a boat....most likely will need new shocks and suspension pieces should you want to drive it everyday. The brakes are decent, and the tires are in ok condition, though most likely are over five years old (it was last registered in 2008).
The car is being sold with a clear Georgia title. Georgia does not require nor issue titles for vehicles built in 1985 or older, but I have the title to this car. If you have any other questions, please call Mark at 727.236.7645. The vehicle is also being sold locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Thanks for looking!
