1956 Chrysler New Yorker 4 door Additional Info:
Chrysler New Yorker Sedan. For your consideration is a super rare 1956 Chrysler New Yorker 4 door Sedan "Barn Find"!! This car is virtually a survivo, ,,,still retains its original sheet metal and floors!! Equipped with the factory Chrysler 354 V8 HEMI Engine and the Powerflight Push Button Automatic Transmission, and the Power Pilot Steering, makes this vehicle a pleasure to drive for someone of any age or size. From the Mechanics of the Hemispherical and Polyspherical combustion engines and Push Button Powerflights, to the "Twin Tower Tail Lights, these 1950's Chrysler's were ahead of their time in so many ways.
The Paint shows extremely well, is just dusty for being in the garage, No rust issues, bubbles or cobbled up with body filler or Bondo! With an all original body, the car is remarkably straight. All body lines, doors, hood, trunk, etc, still have that factory fit. The sound the doors make when they close is just awesome for a 58 year old car! The undercarriage is extremely clean, very solid, straight, and rust free. No shoddy patch panels, holes, soft spots, or issues. Trunk is also very solid, original, and looks great. Car rides, drives, and handles like a dream. The chrome, Bumpers, and stainless are rust and pit free, and are virtually perfect. - Around the "Super-Scenic" windshield and "Clearbac" Rear window, and side window Chrome is exceptional. Tires are new. The original interior shows beautifully with exception of the front seat which shows some wear as pictured. Headliner, Dash, and carpet are quite nice. Head Lights, Brake lights, Turn signals, wipers, all function properly. Also has the original Gas fired Heater system. The engine fires every time, does not smoke, knock, or burn oil. The odometer and title show 66,000 miles, and appears to be original. The transmission shifts as it should. The car stops well for a big car. I purchased the car out of an estate, so I have no history of any mechanical rebuilds in the cars 58 year history. It does drive straight down the road exceptionally well. Free of any shimmys, shakes, rattles, vibrations, or drifting to one side or another. Updated shocks, ball joints, and brakes have been installed. So the ride is very smooth, reliable, and very easy to drive. I got the original wire wheels that came with the car with new coker tires wide white wall tire, ,,,,,,, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seat, i also got the original air cleaner, for any questions please call me at 775 404 2173 thanks
