For sale in our St. Louis is a 1937 Chrysler Royal Street Rod. The odometer reads 79,574, which is believed to be original to the car, but the actual mileage of the build is unknown. Options for this 1937 Chrysler Royal include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Cloth and Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. Powering this 37' Chrysler is an 350 CID Tuned Port Injection (TPI) V8 engine. A Hyster 4 core radiator has been added to help cool the 350 V8, and a TH350 automatic transmission transfers the power to the 10 bolt rear end which houses 3.08 gears. The cross member is adjustable to fit any GM transmission. The age of this build is unknown, but it did receive a facelift in 2012. This Royal features dual electric fuel pumps, a low pressure pump from the tank and a high pressure pump to feed the fuel injection. All brightwork and glass was either reconditioned or replaced by professionals to ensure it was done right. The two tone Sea Foam green over white exterior paint shows some signs of usage, but is in good condition with plenty of shine left. The dash looks much like it did in 1937, with the addition of a couple lights for night time driving, and a few extra gauges on the underside. The upholstery is in good condition, free from any major wear. The Chrysler Royal was a full size car that debuted in 1933, and replaced the Chrysler Six. The Royal featured dual windshield wipers, sweeping fenders, dual taillights, dual chrome trumpet horns, and suicide doors in the sedan model. From the factory it was powered by a 6 cylinder engine, and prices ranged from $895 for a business coupe to $1085 for a convertible sedan. The Royal name plate appeared a few more times, in 1955 as a Dodge Royal, in 1957 by Chrysler Australia (for a model that was based on the 1953 Plymouth), again from 1970 to 1972 as a trim level on the Chrysler Newport, and finally it was used on Dodge Ram trucks and vans until the early 90's as a trim level.
