1969 Chrysler 300 Series Additional Info:
Purchased from the ORIGINAL OWNER recently. If you're a fan of "C" body Mopars, this could be YOUR car!! The original owner went to the 1969 Detroit Auto Show in the fall of 1968. The new "fusalage" Chrysler products were displayed and he HAD to have one!! He was in college and 22 years old, went to the Chrysler dealership and ordered this car!! He owned the car it's entire life up until recently. He was a saver!! He saved EVERY...I mean every receipt spent on the car since day one. Every oil change, nut, bolt and light bulb!! There are two large packets filled with these receipts, there's even a few cancelled checks in there! Not only that, but there are THREE large plastic bins full of parts that were accumulated over the years. A treasure trove of parts that go with the sale of the car also. THE WINNING BIDDER GET'S ALL OF IT!!! Also included is a copy of the original window sticker, books and papers and a 1969 shop manual. HERE'S THE GOOD AND THE BAD ABOUT THE CAR... It is a SURVIVOR. That means it has NEVER been restored except for the drivers door. The neighbor backed into it years ago and it was fixed and the door painted. otherwise you're looking at the real deal. The B3 factory paint in it's faded/patina condition. The interior is actually pretty good. It needs carpet and the seats recovered. Otherwise the door panels, headliner and dash are very good. The body is straight but there are a few rust issues to talk about. Rust in the lower rear quarters, the trunk floor has been patched but to be perfect it needs replaced. The bottom of the car was undercoated when new and looks good EXCEPT for the following. The subframe, both sides have rust as shown in the pics. I hear that there are kits made to resolve this problem. Also, there is a soft spot on the driver's side floor. I haven't pulled the carpet up but to the best of my ability the rest of the floors look to be ok. The rockers, inner door frames and jambs look really good! Even the bottom of the front fenders are original and solid. The vinyl top looks good, it was replaced years ago in a non original grain replacement. The glass is in good original condition. The 440 4-barrel starts easily and sounds great. There is an exhaust leak that needs to be addressed. The Torqueflite transmission goes right into gear and shifts as it should. The chrome is very good, some pitting on pot metal items such as the rear view mirrors. The headlight doors open and close as they should. The brakes feel good, so do the shocks. The tires have lots of tread but are old. I drove the car home 85 miles with no issues noted. It's actually tight and straight as it goes down the road. It's a 47 year old car that's not been restored, just well preserved by it's original owner. Oh, there's a book with quite a few oil changes noted, looks like it had it's oil changed religiously. The AC was repaired a few years ago but is not blowing cold now. All the guages appear to work, it has an aftermarket radio. DUAL POWER SEATS!! OK...I've done my best to describe this car as accurately as possible. Any questions give me a call if you're unclear about something BEFORE you bid!! READ EVERYTHING CLOSELY...LOOK AT THE PICTURES!! This car has alot of potential, a fairly easy and inexpensive restoration. It's a running and driving resto project!!! Questions? Call me anytime Tom 402-650-3849 The winning bidder is asked to send a $500. non-refundable deposit via Paypal 48 hours end of auction. The balance will be due within 7 days in the form of a bank to bank wire transfer, certified verifiable funds, or cash when you pick the car up. Shipping is the buyer's responsibility.
