1973 Chevrolet Other STEP VAN Additional Info:
This P10 Ice Cream Truck was built for my son as an Boy Scout Eagle present. He wanted his own business that would be an accessory to my BBQ business. During the last 4 years, he had made enough money to become my partner in our family restaurant. He would make anywhere from $1000 to $2500 a day at shows!! Pretty good for a 16 yr. old kid!!He did special events only, ie: car shows, rocket shows, air field shows, private partys etc. This Ice Cream truck was built to only do shows and never was driven up and down streets selling wrapped ice cream. It was only used for hand scooped ice cream/sundaes at major events. It sounds BAD ASS, custom dual exhaust Blackjack Headers with cross over pipe. Terrible fuel milage because it is a toy to be looked at and heard at the shows as a HOT ROD. Has a stock Chevy 350 engine out of an El Camino, which doesn't need to be smogged. It has CRAGAR Blue Dot 5 bolt 15" rims, low profile Hankook 215/60R/15 in front on an 8" wide rim. In the rear are a beefyHankook265/50R/15 on a 12" wide rim with only about 500 miles on the rubber. No power steering. Don't need it. Easy to drive because of small front wheels. Inside the truck there is about 6' Hussman Mohawk ice cream truck freezer (ID 5'x2') that works really well with freezer plates that last all day. It will hold between 18-20 3gal. buckets of Thrifty Ice Cream. A total money maker or a really cool hot rod, rat rod, rv, whatever!! All toys need maintence and work. Runs great! Have fun!
