This Beautiful 1923 Chevrolet Altered Roadster Dragster is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. Ready for the upcoming race season, just add a driver! If you are looking to get into the Nostalgia Drag racing circuit and a fresh built engine with over 700 Horsepower, then look no further! The 498 CID Chevrolet Big Block Mark IV has recently been rebuilt by Jeff Taylor of Jeff Taylor Performance. The Crower Mechanical Fuel Injection has been gone through by Fuel Injection Enterprises. The Powerglide Transmission has been built by Zimmerman Racing and has 5200 stall Coan converter. The rear end is a 4 link adjustable setup with a 9" Ford rear end with an Aluminum Summer Brothers 3rd member. The rear end has 3.89 gears, a spool, floater hubs, Summers Axles, and Wilwood disc brakes. On the Current set up, this dragster will run 5.30's in the 1/8 mile. It has not made any ¼ mile passes, but it should easily run 8.40 in the ¼ mile (based on a conversion factor). The chassis and cage are currently NHRA certified (3/1/14) with two years remaining on the certification. Paperwork is included for the certification is included. The RCI racing harness will need to be recertified, but the documentation is included to send them out for the recertification. To set off this beautiful dragster, a cool 60's theme paint job has been applied, including cool 60's style logos. This '23 altered dragster has been professionally built and comes with the documentation to prove that it is ready for this year's race season, just get the safety restraints recertified and you're good to go! All the alcohol fuel has been removed from the fuel system and engine. This is to protect the engine from the corrosive effects of the alcohol fuel. The engine is currently "pickled" while it sits in our showroom. Please watch the video to see this beast started up, and a quick blip of the throttle, before the fuel was removed. Please note that this is a full on drag car and is not intended for street use. The chassis does carry a serial number with documentation, but does not come with a title.
