Up for sale is my 65 Chevy Sportvan Deluxe. The auction includes all the parts listed. Additional pics provided upon request...
The van is a completely original Sportvan Deluxe with original paint and interior, with all headliner trim in tact and in place. All interior panels are complete, including plastic window surrounds/trim. It has four pop-out windows. The van has rusty doors, but I have several extra doors included to mix and match to cherry pick from. Some rust can be found on front valance and spots on the rockers. The roof is solid and straight.
I have extra bumpers that are restored, completely straight with triple-chrome plating. They are literally the best and cleanest chrome van bumpers I've ever seen.
The van has the original front seats, but is outfitted with very comfortable and adjustable front buckets with a matching fold down rear bench.
It comes with 15" steel rally wheels and a brand new set of 17x7 inch billet rally wheels with BFG Comp-2 A/S 225/45ZR 17 high performance tires. The drum brakes were all redone right after I bought the van.
I purchased the van as a complete running vehicle with original inline-6 and 2-speed auto for top dollar from a guy in Oregon. The motor turned out to have a broken piston and I decided to build a 383 stroker last September. Long story short, the engine builder died mid-build and I finally received the motor a couple weeks ago.
Briefly, it is a 2-bolt main 350 block with forged Wiseco flat-top pistons, Eagle rotating assembly stroker kit, with ported Edelbrock E-Tec 200 (Vortech style) custom heads (valve job done, heads not straight out of box) an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap aluminum intake manifold (shop painted it orange without my consent), hydraulic roller Comp cam (XR 276HR-10), Comp Ultra Pro Magnum roller rockers, MSD Pro Billet distributor, MSD Blaster 2 coil, Taylor plug wires, MSD 6A ignition control box, all ARP hardware, custom billet breather and pcv/filler caps, ProForm aluminum water pump, Dougs ceramic coated headers and a billet dipstick. All gaskets are Edelbrock or FelPro. The motor is set up to build big torque from idle and was built to tow.
I have a brand new Atomic EFI with return system, Spectre intake plenum for cold air induction system, accessory brackets, black Powermaster 140A alternator, Mooneyes tachometer and USA made billet aluminum pulleys in bright anodized finish.
I have a built 700R4 transmission without torque convertor. The motor will idle with a stock RPM torque convertor, no stall needed. I have an OE V8 crossmember and doghouse and third gen gas tank (steamed and painted) to complete engine swap.
Almost all accessories and components are brand new and in boxes. Literally all you need to buy to complete the install is fluids, belts, hoses, wire it hot and have a driveshaft made. I have purchased everything to install like, Energy Suspension motor and trans mounts, custom throttle cable, new Flowmaster 3" mufflers, Optima yellow top battery, electronic power steering conversion kit, Ron Francis two-stage wiring harness and relay system for electric fan, Mark VIII two-speed fan, two aluminum radiators (one custom brand new and one aluminum take out from my V8 62 Impala).
I paid $5,200 for the van, I paid $900 for the bumpers, about $2000 in wheels in tires and about $8,000 in the engine and parts listed (very very low estimate...)
I cannot recover my investments individually, or as a whole package deal. I am not in the position to sit on these parts and and willing to take $10,000 for the entire bundle. I have no wiggle room and have priced the project to move.
I have receipts, invoices and part numbers on file for reference. I'm happy to answer any questions or provide any extra pics if needed.
I created a Google Photos album with 97 photos of the van including the brand new engine (just removed the plastic wrap on 081516), wheels/tires, and all parts included in the bundle. You will understand once you see all the pictures of how many thousands of dollars in brand new parts you are getting for a fraction of the price. I did not skimp on cheap stuff or buy second hand parts. All used parts are good orexcellent used parts I already had.
eBay would not allow me toattach the album in any form. If interested in viewing the album, call or text me your emailaddress and I will send you the link.
eBay makes it so difficult to list pics these days...
As an added bonus, I have a secret weapon to offer. I have a one-of-one set of drip rail moldings that I sent out to be restored and polished to a mirror finish. They are not shown in the pics since they arewrapped up and hanging in mygarage. The trim consists of rear wrap around section, either side long straight sections and the front section which follows the drip rails down along the front windshield, curvesunder the windshield and mounts along the raised body line above thefresh air inlet vents. Small holes will have to be drilled to fasten the rivets and clips. I also have brand new rivets and clips to reattach to the roof rail. To the best of my knowledge, the roof rail moldings are the only ones in existence...
