1987 Chevrolet C-10 Additional Info:
Selling my '87 Chevy C30(R30) 1-ton crew cab dually 2wd. Truck has been great, drove across the country from Maryland to Arizona(2500miles) with a full bed and fully loaded 6 x 12 trailer with no issues. This particular Chevy was originally used for a small town fire department, still shows pin striping over wheel arches as well as town name on tail gate. Believe why it was well maintained and carries low original miles. Nice original paint, with few blemishes here and there but looks great especially for age. Passenger cab corner and drivers side of bed in front of wheel tub have rust. Rest of body and under body solid. All windows are good and have been tinted. Front passenger vent/quarter window needs tint applied however due to mishap with original one. Passenger side mirror glass blew off while driving thru heavy gust winds in New Mexico. Interior is in good overall shape. Typical dash pad cracks and some fade on top of front drivers door panel are the only thing that show wear/age.No radio. Truck had POR-15 applied to floor pans, lower sections of doors, as well as ceiling. New carpet installed(originally had none). A detroit diesel 6.2l(379ci) and all its 155hp/300lbft ha powers this monster. Runs great, and gets great mileage for what it is. Very simple and reliable motor. Trans is a turbo 400. Shifts great...and kicks down like it should. Corporate 14 bolt out back, haven't check to see ratio 3.73 or 4.10.This has been a very dependable truck for me, has been used as my daily driver this past year. The a/c was working great up to about a month ago when the front seal on the compressor let go. Replaced with a rebuilt nit, got a/c going again but then clutch on it failed! So that's wear it stands right now, a/c not working. Overall great truck and definitely has theshop truck kind of look and appeal to it!
