Here is a Very Cool Old School Hot Rod from back in the day!
1940 Chevy coupe, 283 solid cam V-8 with a Muncie 4 speed. I life long California car brought Ohio a couple of years ago by the builders sister. He was in poor health at the time. He'd owned this car since 1956 ! He was a meticulous Porsche mechanic by trade and his working skills have stood the test oftime. This car was finished to its current state in the very late 60's and was a back drop car in The American Graffiti movie. No real proof other than where the car came from and an autographed card from Candy Clark and Bo Hopkins. The body is rust free and has a beautiful black Lacquer paint job that is more then presentable but getting' thin in a couple of spots. The frame was detailed and features a chromed front axle on coil overs and 4 links with a Corvair steering box and Disc brakes. The interior is straight out the 60's with the stripes and chromed dash and garnish moldings. This is a Time Capsule street rod and should be preserved as it is. It runs and drives Super with plenty of power.
